Hello and Thank You for your interest in our program. The concert bands have been set up to allow every musician at every level an opportunity to play and perform music that is appropriate for their growth and measured development, the goal being to prepare all LRHS music students for a successful college and perhaps professional career.

Wind Ensemble: The Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble is a group of approximately 55 wind and percussion players that perform literature written specifically for that medium. This college/professional-style group rehearses during the class day (5th period) with a weekly extra-curricular rehearsal scheduled once marching band ends (see calendar). The festival program will be performed in concert as the District and State Assessments approach. This group will play music that fulfills our requirement for ensemble I as a Class BB school for the Florida Bandmaster's Association. Auditions, Stage performance and Sight-Reading are required.
